Hall-Perrine provides every cancer patient with your own personal nurse – a navigator to guide you through all your treatments, answer your questions and be there for you.

A Nurse Navigator is here to help you during this time and to provide guidance and education. We want to make sure that you get the best care possible. Your Nurse Navigator will help guide you through the process of learning about your disease and offer support every step of the way.

What is a Nurse Navigator?

Hall-Perrine's Nurse Navigators are oncology nurses who have the experience and compassion to help ease your way through the treatment process. They are part of our multidisciplinary cancer team delivering on the promise of patient-centered care. Your Nurse Navigator provides support to help answer questions and clarify information for you. You can feel confident that your Navigator is committed to understanding your individual needs and assisting you during your specific course of treatment.

At the heart of the Nurse Navigator program is a commitment and belief in patients taking an active role in their treatment and recovery plan. The Nurse Navigator is there to answer questions and educate the patient on their treatment process, helping to alleviate anxiety, stress and other physical and emotional challenges cancer patients face.

What role does the Nurse Navigator play?

The role of the Nurse Navigator is to ease the burden of cancer treatment on both you and your family and help coordinate the efforts of the medical team.

Your Nurse Navigator will:

• Help you understand your diagnosis and available treatment options
• Guide you through the healthcare system and help coordinate care with all members of the medical team
• Help you and your family connect to community resources
• Help you keep track of and find ways to get to your appointments
